There are minor differences between those years but nothing significant. Use it.
Working on overhauling a 32RH, and came across this bogus torque spec in the 1989 FSM. Clearly that should be175 inch-pounds, not 175 foot-pounds. Interestingly, the ATSG manual makes a similar mistake on the pump bolt torque (foot pounds when they meant to say inch pounds). Trust me when I tell you that you don't want to torque small bolts into an aluminum case at 175 foot-pounds! (also, ask me how I know).

Hi Chris, I am in need of the FSM for an 89 Wrangler with the 4.2l, I only see the parts catalog attached above.

Oh my goodness! This is wonderful information. Thank you so much for sharing these. Which service manual is best for the 89 YJ 4.2L 6CYL? I just bought this bad boy and I am desperately wanting to learn to do my own repairs and maintenance!

It's not posted here but I have a 1989 factory service manual I could share somehow. It's a large file. The 87-90 parts catalog would also be useful to you if you ever need to try to find a factory part. That one is posted in the original post.

Thank you for posting these. I've had the wiring section of this document but it's way better to have the whole thing. I've been working on wiring for my 1995 Sport and when I dropped the service manual into Chat GPT it was pretty amazing. I suggest the same for anyone who is stuck on something or has trouble following wire diagrams. They Haynes manual I purchased is not that great. Very general information on some topics.
93 will be closer, but both will work for most things. The 91 is a bit of an odd duck because it still had a lot of older styling like the old gauges and such that function differently than the 92+ stuff.
