Im building a 94 yj for a daily that is also built enough for some tails, its a 4.0l with a 5 speed. I need a new clutch and transmission im pretty sure its an ax15 but im not 100% sure. Anyone able to verify what it is and what clutch kits do you recommend? Eventually ill motor swap it so im not sure if i should look for a stage 2? The transmission has an exterior slave cylinder if that helps.

I swapped my 95 auto to manual. I picked up a new AX15 from Novak and went with the LUK clutch/flywheel for it. Been almost two years, everything working great.
You have an external slave AX15. I have run two clutches, Luk RepSet and Luk Pro Gold. Both are good and feel about the same. The gold is a little bit heavier on the foot but it’s super smooth.
I have run a number of flywheels. I would not recommend Luk as batches of them within the last year or so had the timing marks off and causes weird starting issues with the crankshaft position sensor. I picked up a Sach’s flywheel from AutoZone last time to solve that.
