I’m refreshing the heater and can’t figure out how the two vent cables attach to the control levers.

The FSM says the right cable controls the left one, but there are no pictures and I don’t see how that happens.

I have the cable that goes to the left vent door, with a functioning length adjuster. Then there’s a separate cable that goes to the right vent door. Then there are two more cables (floor/defrost & blend door). But there seem to be only three attachment sites on the control panel.

What am I missing?

The cable that controls the left vent stops behind the glove box and then the right cable hooks on there and runs down to the right vent. So it’s 2 cables pieced together to function as one. That connection is right at the area where the vacuum motor for the heater intake flap is.

The length adjustment controls how much both fresh air vents open.
