I recently replaced my drivers door lock cylinder on my ‘94 YJ. In doing so the plastic piece that goes between the cylinder and the door broke leaving the lock susceptible to water leakage. I’m thinking that running a bead of silicone sealant around it might do the trick. Have googled and...
Hey there. Don’t know if you’ve solved this yet or not, but i recently swapped out my driver door lock cylinder on my ‘94 YJ and here’s my two cents.
1) I ordered this lock cylinder from Quadratec, they might have 3-packs. Else you could obviously order 3 of them
2) They don’t come with...
Hey all,
Have the Family Roll cage on my ‘94 and am having trouble finding spice bikini top options that cover just the front seats. Hard top with full doors. Have ordered a ‘Pavement Ends by Bestop’ Sun Cap and the appropriate windshield channel to mount it. It all looks good out of the box...
Thanks very much for the detailed reply. I’m waiting on the Tuffy hood lock, it’s back-ordered. And adding the battery disconnect recommended earlier. Might do wheel lock nuts too, but I think I’m good with that as the Jeep is kept in my garage at night
Thanks, this is great! That’s the lock I’d seen before, I remember the comment about it ‘actually working’. And that disconnect is brilliant, especially when combined with the lock. Easy to quickly remove when parking it anywhere. And it’s only $7!
Hello all. Right now my YJ security is the manual transmission:). Does any one know of a good locking mechanism you can attach to the hood release behind the grill? I had seen them before but can’t seem to locate on Amazon. And while I could also use a Club on the steering wheel, is there any...
Hey all,
Have had to repair my drivers door lock as the key doesn’t work. In doing so I’ve had to peel back the moisture barrier behind the door panel. I can duct tape it back down, but can anyone tell me what material can be used to stick it back down instead? Thanks.
Exactly! And that was the appeal. Picked it up in January, was a one-owner AZ car. It’s as base a model as you could get, only options I believe, were carpeting and rear wiper. It really is spectacular.
The #8 screws did the trick. Two did not grab, so I assume the mounting stubs were damaged previously. But 3 grabbed tight, so I’m good to go. Thanks to both of you for responding.
Thanks! I picked up some screws as per the first response, will attach it tomorrow. But I have a box of these in my cart on Amazon as I know they’re an essential with these YJ’s. If the screw doesn’t fit, I have my option.
Hi all. Adding a center cap to my spare. Does anyone know how they are attached? Not sure if they’re threaded, but it looks like I need to find 5 screws.? I could remove one of the tires to find out, but hoping someone can save me the trouble. Thanks
