I acquired an OEM center console for my 95. The base of the console looks like it has 4 points of contact with the tub that probably had screw holes (they are currently missing but some parts/pieces are remaining).
Problem I am having is with everything stripped out of the floor, I do not see ANY holes in the console area where a console could mount. None. I was expecting holes that align with the console.
Did they originally have a bracket of some sort ?
Anyone know how the OEM center console physically attached to tub?

Not sure if this helps, I have an 87 and when I stripped the carpet for a repaint, I found my OEM center console held in with self-tapping screws. I replaced them with rivnuts to make things easier.

Factory console for 91-95 is held in with 4 sheet metal/self tapping style bolts. The holes would be on the rearward portion of the transmission tunnel hump. Maybe someone covered over them with something, but bolts were definitely there at some point on a 95. Not sure how the 87-90 console attached but it's irrelevant for you.
