I'm just paranoid about getting stranded up in the mountains.
So I decided to cut an access panel in the floor. I still have the pump that was in the Jeep when I bought it, it was still working fine.
I figure I'll find a place to stash the spare pump and if I ever need it, it should be an easy repair, even on the trail.

I've seen others that have cut an access panel for the same reasons. Its not something I'd do, but I'm in Florida and have good weather year round, no mountains here to get stranded in either.

Ive been considering this myself. Function before form I always felt. You should post up measurements of where exactly you made your cuts as you nailed it it looks like.

Great idea. Dropping the tank on the trail is a pain.
