Awwww yeah! That is looking nice.
What paint did you use?
you have done a" REMARKABLE" job. i would stick with the org. motor if serviceable. you dont know what you get in a reman job. a company called "FASTENAL" had a great select of bolts. be sure and keep us guys informed as you go along. good luck
Disappointment.....
All new seals in the front axle and I have a leak on the passenger side front axle.... any words of advice
Filled it too high if you filled to the fill hole. If you did, suck some fluid back out. The spec is 1/2” below the fill hole. I did the same on a fully rebuilt axle with brand new Spicer seals and it also leaked. Sucked out fluid to the right amount and it stopped.
That's possible.... didn't know. I was beginning to wonder if they had shipped me the seal for a solid axle... which is still possible i suppose. Not a lot leaked out at this point in a 36 hour period... it may have leaked down enough. Thanks again.
If the seal fit the CAD seal spot, then you got the right seal. The seal for a 1 piece axle is way different and wouldn’t have worked at all.
It will leak slowly. I doubt it leaked out enough yet. Mine was still doing it after a week or so. then I saw the statement in the FSM and so I pulled some fluid out. All good since.
Thanks so much. I'll pull some out.
This may be the first of several questions in regard to putting the wiring harness on Rio.... It was literally in several boxes when I got everything. I have this connector that comes off of the injector harness. Can someone identify it for me? The blue half is a two prong piece that does unplugged from the gray.
