I haven’t tried pulling it back into place yet. I think that’s the route I’m going to go. The soft top still connects as of now. I just want it to be as straight as possible. Thanks for the info I definitely will be giving that a try.

What u-joints are you looking at? Are you talking about the intermediate shaft?

I’m trying to find just the shift indicator lens for my 92 YJ. It’s a 3 speed automatic with tilt. Does anyone know if there are replacement lenses? Mine is cracked and doesn’t look good. Thanks for the help.

I’m doing the same with my 92 YJ. I personally like having the liners in the front to keep stuff from flying into the engine compartment. If your looking to replace the front splash shields I found this set. The website is www.detroitmuscletechnologies.com

Ya I don’t do anything without doing my homework. It makes everything go as easy as possible. I hear about people just jumping into stuff head first and end up lost or breaking something. Like our parents always said, “Do your homework” haha.

Thanks for the reply. I was reading that there are some lubes that will eat the plastic so I will be sure to stay away from the plastic parts with that stuff.

I am in the process of rebuilding my steering column. I have completely disassembled the column including the interior column that connects to the transmission linkage. If anyone needs help or wants pictures I will post them as questions are asked.

Is the aluminum built to take some hits and drags from rocks? I like that it’s lighter but wondering about the strength of the aluminum compared to the steel. This is the only full underbelly skid plate protecting the engine, trans, and t-case.

Has anyone looked at or bought one of these skid plates? I am going to buy one of these skid plates( steel or aluminum) when I put my trans and t-case back under my Jeep. What are your thoughts about this and are there other skid plates like this from different sellers?
