    Rear drive shaft death

Scoured all the parts data bases in Canada and couldn’t find one, hit eBay and found one in Selaware with the slip yolk include. $50US for the parts, $60 for shipping to western Canada. I couldn’t be happier.

    Rear drive shaft death

It looks like everybody that ever had this issue got a slip yolk eliminator kit which requires a longer drive shaft. The angle of the shaft is less, making for a much beefier set up. This ain’t gonna be cheap.

    Rear drive shaft death

You are very knowledgeable about this stuff. Yes that helps knowing that t-case slip yolk is at least going to be easy to get.

    Rear drive shaft death

That’s crazy that they don’t make replacement shafts. Off to eBay I go I suppose. Do you know offhand if the replacement yolks are the same?

    Rear drive shaft death

Driving down the high today my rear drive shaft committed suicide. It went flying off and I found it but it’s too dented to ever get new u-joints into it. I limped home in 4 high, front wheel style. When I got home I saw the front yolk that goes into the transfer case was gone too. I look on...

94 4.0 and blown out frost / freeze plug

Jeep had a rough start yesterday and once it was going I revved er up a bit and blew a frost plug. It’s the one with the stock block heater element, which I’ll replace with a regular plug. I got a new frost plug and crawled underneath my baby this morning and lo and behold I can’t do shit. The...

Why is there so much hate against YJ square headlight Jeeps?

I hated those “bumperettes” and love my clean new look. If I’m 4xing I’ll church a spare in back. Otherwise if I get a flat the old lady can bring me one

Why is there so much hate against YJ square headlight Jeeps?

I heard this gruff sounding voice in a parking lot the other week say “Nice ass.” I looked over and big dude said, “I was talking bout your Jeep”

    LED Headlight and Taillight Choice

Get what your sayin. Guess I’m more of a purist. When I see a YJ with LED headlights I think: dude should get a TJ

    1994 upholstery search

There are many seats that fit YJs, if you’re open to non-stock. I’ve got leather Sprinter van seats and couldn’t be happier

    LED Headlight and Taillight Choice

IMHO, LED headlights on a vintage YJ take away all the class. I’m cool with LED marker lights but headlights with 10 little bright dots no way.IMHO. Looks cheapy

Smelling gas when turning off engine (no smells while running)

I had a small drip at my fuel filter a while back. Doesn’t take much of a leak to make a big smell. And yup. Dangerous

What route would I take from South Florida to Arizona?

From my personal experience, if you drop the windshield you can maintain a much higher speed on a long trip. Just be prepared to clean your “sunnies” often and don’t smile cause bugs.

    Plumber builds Jeep (crickets)

A month later, sure glad I took my time and went for it. Still got underside paint touch ups to do but I’m happy to be driving my little angel for the summer. Funny, couldn’t get the paint right on the hood, so I two-toned with flat black. Never noticed but all Trailhawks are like that so my new...

Scratching my head on body lifts

Kinda thinking, what’s the point? I’ve got a $150+ body lift sitting in a box. I broke the first bolt I tried removing and after a month of PB Blasting I could tell the next (and probably all) would break. Decided I didn’t want to cut the shit out of my floor to install something that wasn’t...
