    Upgrade Throttle Body 1993, 2.5l

Following. This is the first I've come across this modification and it's not outrageously priced.

89 yj rebuilt 4.2 new fuel pump sending unit and carb, 45 is top speed will not go any fast fills like its being fuel deprived any thoughts

Do you have a fuel pressure test kit? The fuel pressure should be between 3.5 to 5 pounds. Any more and it will flood the carb and run like you describe. If you don't have a pressure test kit, you can probably find a free loaner from an auto parts store like AutoZone.

    YJ Heating System Explained

I'll add these three pictures of what's going on behind the scene with the sliding lever controller. The cable on the left popped off the post when I was installing the fan box last week so the vent control wasn't working. No adjustments on this end. Just a rotating plate that pull/pushes the...

    Best Fuel Injectors?

Bumping an old thread. I'm considering buy the brand Standard Motor Products FJ714 at $47 each. Sold at Rock Auto and Amazon and other places, they get 5 star reviews from everyone. I looked into the company website and see they manufacture the injectors to match OE injectors for spray...

94 Jeep YJ Check Engine Light Issues

I found a vacuum leak or O2 sensor can light the CEL but not show any codes. I read that you did replace both items but I would still check them. Check the vacuum lines and connections by spraying them lightly with carb cleaner and see if there's an RPM change. Aftermarket O2 sensors can...

Hard top uppers for half door don't fit

Great news! It's amazing that a fraction of an inch can make such a difference.

Hard top uppers for half door don't fit

I had to remove the spreader bar to clean it and get the two pieces to slide. Just to be clear, there's two bolts on the back end. One attaches it to the back roll bar and the second is on the top side that pinches the sliding bars together. Mine had light surface rust between the tubes...

    2.5 pulley nonsense

Is that a 3in ribbed idler pulley? This may be it: https://www.partsgeek.com/j78phmj-jeep-wrangler-accessory-belt-idler-pulley.html Parts catalog link in the "RESOURCES" section of this website https://wrangleryjforum.com/attachments/1994-1996-jeep-wrangler-yj-parts-catalog-pdf.115636/

Loud sound on startup on 1994 YJ

This is crazy, it's like my YJ reads this forum and starts having issues that arise in here. I recently didn't a bunch of work but nothing around the belt or pullies other than the alternator wires on the back side and radiator in front. Added new coolant and burped the system, ran it for 15...

Hard top uppers for half door don't fit

Do you have a hard top or soft? I have the hard top so I found it much easier to remove the adjustable spreader bar section of the roll bar that runs along the top of the windows. Reason being, there's a tamper resistant torx bolt there #TR50 that was difficult to get access to. First...

Hard top uppers for half door don't fit

I've heard there's a difference between YJ and TJ doors yet both can be made to fit the YJ. I don't now what these differences are. I bought full doors for my YJ and needed to slightly tweak the spreader bars and windshield angle to get them to seal all around. a Very small adjustment (1/4")...

Loud sound on startup on 1994 YJ

Sounds like a worn or loose fan belt. They can squeal very loudly . There are spray on products like Belt Grip that may temporarily help but usually don't last long.

New Ignition Key Tumbler and Key Release Lever problems

Back around the end of November I installed a new ignition key because the old one was worn and and I wanted matching door locks for my full doors. Changing out the key tumbler was not difficult but did require removing the steering wheel, using special loaner tools (Thanks to AutoZone). The...

    What have I done now?

Be advised many of the Amazon/eBay LED bulbs only work when the electricity is flowing in one direction. If the bulb doesn't seem to work, take it out and turn it half way around, that should do it. It's a 50/50 shot getting it right the first time. Reading the one star reviews and you'll...

89 YJ: help with engine temp gauge issue

Yes to the coolant flush. I used a Prestone product which looked like clear water. For heavy corrosion they say leave it in longer so I left it in for 2 days. Made a huge difference. A quick flush is only 10 minutes or so, I can't recall.

    Big7 cable kit install question

That small cover is what was on my PDC. I believe it's the OEM part from the factory even though it may not be shown. It has small clips on the top and right side. I just trimmed the left side as seen in the picture. I wish I had a 3D printer.

    YJ Heating System Explained

It also could be you have low coolant flow through the heating coil or the fins on the coil are blocked. If the coil is barely warm from low water flow, you may get 160 degree air at a slow fan speed, but when the fan is on high the coil can't produce enough heat to keep up and warm the air.

    Big7 cable kit install question

I didn't feel too comfortable having the two terminals exposed on the PDC, so I trimmed a side opening on the original cover. The clips on the cover's sides are untouched so it will still lock in place. I'd be the first to drop a wrench and have it hit the exposed terminals and short out to...

    Coolant foaming

One thing is Jeeps are notorious for having air bubbles in the cooling system after draining and refilling them. They should be properly "Burped" during and after their filled. I always drove the front end up on ramps, or park on a steep hill so the front is much higher, and this should clear...
