Track bar on that lift is going. To cause you grief even if you use a track bar relocation kit. Why is it there, can’t really say, all kinds of leaf sprung vehicles and none that I know of have track bars not even CJ’s. But the YJ does and it causes binding because it has to move in an arc when...
Well that was just the way of AMC. I worked in an auto parts store in the early 80’s, and AMC vehicles would have far more options for parts in any given year than almost any other manufacture, with the exception of International. At times I suspected that surplus parts were purchased by them...
Can you take a couple more pics so we can see and determine the transistor package type? And lay a ruler beside it in one of the pictures for reference.
Possibly just a bad new starter. Electrical parts are getting pretty well known for failure right out of the box these days. I personally would take it off and jumper cable it to a known good battery and test it out of the vehicle.
Not sure on the AX5 but on the AX 15 the only wires coming from trans are for reverse switch. If I remember correctly they turn on the dash reverse light and backup lights. Yours should have the ax5 trans so may be different
There is no bumper on there now, the round bar is part of the stock frame. Any bumper for a YJ factory or aftermarket should go on just fine. By the way, the front fenders rear fender flares and rock sliders are all Metalcloak. Good stuff, it’s what I plan on getting. Also a winch can be added...
Looks like a 231 to me. I can see the ID tag is missing on the rear, not surprising. I would look on Novak transmission sight, they have loads of good info on the 231 and other Xfer cases. You can also give them a call for more specifics.
You might try taking a look ay Novak transmission. They have a premium quality slave cylinder that is rebuild able and a line kit for the YJ. Also sell clutch master cylinders. They are not pre bled systems, but what I am hearing is many of the pre bled’s are poor quality. Worth a look anyway.
