95 Wrangler with full doors. I was doing some dumb s#!t flexing over obstacles and when I was done the door was stuck. ...really stuck. I reached inside with a slim jim and tried actuating the internals, but it sure didn't work. I've tried to open it every way I can think of. it won't open...

    Just thinking out loud...

That would be a transfer case drop. Yep, it's pretty common. https://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-yj-transfer-case-drop-kit-1622tc.html

How do I measure actual spring lift height?

Since stock springs are flat, could you just measure the difference between the spring eyes and the top of the springs?

Advice and help! On shocks and interior courtesy lights etc

The little red Jeep has LED strips beside the front seats and above the rear fender wells, licence plate lights under the dash, and an led light on the roll bar right in the middle. When the hard top is installed, that light works too. It's friggin daylight in there. The ground is ran through...

    Oil Pressure & Overfilling?

Capacity is 6 quarts (according to Google) Your oil pressure going all the way up with new cold oil is very much normal. Nothing to worry about. Engine running can push the oil up the dipstick. Wipe the stick and recheck after about 30 seconds. Should read normal. Again. Nothing to worry...

Wife Says Make it Bigger and Badder

I guess it all depends on what you want to do with it. A basically stock yj on 31s is surprisingly capable off road. If you are planning on 31s it looks tall enough already. Aftermarket flares and or fenders can definitely add to the "bigger badder" vibe and make room for larger tires. A winch...

    Yukon Gear sale

Hard to say. But it was worth checking out. It was a great excuse to take the DR650 out for the first ride of the year. I'm not showing up at an offroad shop in a honda accord.

    Yukon Gear sale

Never mind. The Yukon "sale price" was 526 bucks out-the-door, for gears and install kit. I just ordered the same kit from Ron's Machining Service (fleaBay) for $367.

    Yukon Gear sale

Not affiliated or anything. If not allowed 🚫 Go ahead and remove. I recently blew up my rear end. Fortunately, Yukon is having a sale, tomorrow only. I don't know what's included or excluded. I don't know what kind of pricing will be offered. I do know I'll almost certainly be buying some...

    Too much skinny pedal?

🙄 nope. That was 💯 my fault. Trying to climb my front tire straight up a concrete wall and dumped the clutch. ...I crawled right up it last night. At least it didn't happen way up some snow covered trail. I'll order some new gears and bearings tonight.

    Too much skinny pedal?

Dont crank the heavy metal when you're trying to crawl over concrete blocks. 3000 rpm clutch dump carnage.

YJ Rough Country 2.5 inch lift questions

No. Boomerang shackles don't change the geometry. The geometry is calculated from the perch bolt to the spring eye bolt. The shape of the shackle does not affect this angle.

I ordered mediim load Old Man Emu springs for my YJ and I have a question

Front and rear bushings were same on mine. There were two different options depending on whether you were using OME shackles or stock shackles. I'm running aftermarket boomerang shackles, and bushings designed for stock shackles. The bushings designated for ome boomerang shackles didn't fit...

    Wrangler fuel pump issues

In my research, I came to the conclusion that Bosch is oem, and the best choice. Bosch was not available when I replaced mine. Most internet "experts" recommended Carter as the best alternative. I installed a Carter about 2 years ago. At the same time, I replaced all the rubber fuel line...
