Very nice buy, If its showing 70 with 35's at 2400 rpm, they probably didn't change out the speedo gear in the transfer case. Most likely doing about 60 mph, you can check it against a GPS. Doesnt cost much, and only take 5 or 10 minutes to change it out.

Keep the truck, find another YJ that hasn't been molested so much. This one is not worth having and investing in.

If you have the factory headlights and not LED's, most likely not bright enough to blind oncoming traffic on high beam anyway. Mine wasn't until I replaced them with LED lights.

I agree. No one has ever said that to me but if they did, I'd just tell the purist that you can't get more original Jeep Wrangler than the first-generation Jeep Wrangler YJ. After all, your JK and all the others is based on my YJ, the original real Wrangler.

You really need to climb underneath with a flashlight and see where the leak or leaks are coming from. It could be a migrating leak or leaks. Common leaks on these YJ's are valve cover gasket, rear main seal, yoke seals and so on.

The wires in your hand goes to the interior courtesy light switch that is normally located in that hole in the door frame, your switch is missing. When opening and closing the door, that switch turns on and off your interior courtesy lights.
