    Fuel smell

When I dropped my fuel tank to fix the sending unit I had the small vent lines pop off and leak fuel on top of the tank. When raising the tank into place, make sure there's plenty of slack or else they may get pulled tight and pop off the tank fitting as mine did.

Rear diff clicking sound from 1990 YJ

Maybe he dropped a bearing cap off the a U-Joint and lost a few roller pins. I've had a few slip off when removing the driveshaft. They're sneaky.

Clutch or Master Cylinder / Slave?

Several factors to include. One is to identify what transmission you actually have and what type slave cylinder this is. My '92 has a 2.4L engine with an AX-5 transmission, all factory stock. This is what I ordered from Amazon. Many recommend the LUK kits. I've been driving with mine for...

    Bolt missing from track bar

Is you YJ lifted? Chances are the bolt on the other end will be the same. Standby for a discussion on whether you even need the track bar or not depending on you suspension modifications.

    Strange ticking noise, can’t isolate

Check to see if the dipstick got bent. It could be taping against some rotating internal part. I've seen it happen on the 2.4L. That would be a connection to a recent oil change.

    Knock Question

What is your oil pressure reading at idle and 2000 rpm, both cold and warm? Is the oil new and at the proper level?

    Welded Nut

One option may be to use a Riv - Nut. Cut the head off that bolt and push it inside the frame. You may be able to fish it out through some other opening later or just let it roll around inside.. I've done this many times with 100% success. Here's a video showing the Riv-Nut and how it...

    Belt wheel pressing against fan

I'm not familiar with you rubber transmission mount, but is there any way it was removed and reinstalled backwards? I'm not sure it's even possible or if it makes a difference but they look offset. Does it look like this?

    Belt wheel pressing against fan

Looks like the water pump pulley. Is that an aftermarket electric fan? Any way to mount the fan on the front side of the radiator? You can't just shift the pump pulley back because the belt won't be aligned with the other pulleys. We need more ifo on why you remounted the skid plate and why...

Gearshift, making rubber sound when shifting into second gear

I don't understand the "Rubber binding sound" but I can say one common issue is the shift lever may be coming in contact with the opening in the tub because of the lift. Can you see how close it is? Even if there's a fraction of an inch, it may be hitting during acceleration or deceleration.

92 YJ stiff rear axle after replacing bearing, locking ring and seal

Those axles are different than the ones in my '92 YJ. My axles are held in place with C-clips on the differential end, not the four nuts on the wheel end. Each type may have different bearing sizes. I'm not familiar with the dates when the axle types changed from clips to nuts. Edit...

    Where is my O2 sensor?

But a new sensor does no good if there's no place to connect the wires to. Do you see an unused plug hanging down on the left side? I don't know anything about the 2.4 TBI system as my 92 has 4 injectors.

    1993 Jeep YJ 2.5 AX-5 Transmission Plugs

Most of those plugs with a Torx (star shape) head will be holding a spring and ball in place which keep the transmission in gear when driving. I think mine had a copper washing to seal it. If yours in tight, it should not leak. I bought a set of Torx drivers for less than $10. Same type...

Jeep YJ 1993 2.5 4-cylinder fuel pressure issues

Coat the o-ring with Vaseline or even motor oil and you'll find the FPR easily slides in. Also, make sure the metal cup it goes into is clean and there's no residue. Clean it with a q-tip.

Ignition key removal when engine running

Thanks, I've been driving since the mid 70's and don't recall any key coming out. I need new door locks for my full door so I may buy a matching ignition key too.
