i got a new shit knob and insert . how do i get it to stay ? I've tried super glue but that only lasted about a week .

The best stuff ever lol. It's very similar to Shoe Goo if you have ever seen that. It's a strong adhesive that dries like a strong rubber. I have used it for years for all sorts of things. It's a slow cure though, so if you use it let it cure properly.
