yeah but that kit is for a 87-95 yj... I have a 4.0 from a Cherokee and a nv3550 from either a TJ or dodge Dakota.... can't find that kit on eBay. I looked there first since you helped me find the bolts there for the transmission..... they came today and fit perfectly...

hey guys, I'm trying to attach my trans (nv3550) to my 4.0 (1998 Cherokee engine)..... what size bolts do I need to purchase. I bought these parts from different folks and there was no bolts included. something I wish I had gotten together when I pulled the engine.

hey guys, building out my Jeep. I have a 92 YJ originally with the 2.5 but I'm installing the 4.0 and I have the correct bell housing to go with a NV3550 I picked up but I don't have any bolts. I've searched online in several places but am wondering if someone here can help. I need to install...

Also, all roll pins are in place.

Looking at your pics i bet i should start looking at the detent on rail 4&5. I know i pulled the arm out too far trying to get the 5th gear sleeve back in.

Man, first of all, thank you for replying to this thread!! I do not have it pulled out of the jeep. I simply went in through the Rear cover and replaced the gear. I did not remove the reverse rail but I’m certain i pulled it out too far! I have 2 detent balls and 1 spring lying in the rear...

I recently replaced 5th gear in my AX 5 and now its locked in reverse. I went into the switch housing and used a screwdriver to disengage reverse and now I have 1-4 gears. do not have 5th gear however and if I put it in reverse, it stays in reverse and I have to go back down to the switch...

i believe there is a youtube video on it. located underneath the dash under the steering wheel. you can buy new ones on Ebay.
