Today I sent it a little too hard while wheeling and snapped the bracket. Replacement on order from wrecker. ‘Merica!

Check the front right motor mount bracket too. It's a thin stamped sheet metal riser that often breaks. This may have contributed to your part failure.

I liked the construction of the Brown Dog replacement and welded up a similar one from scrap I had laying around. Much sturdier than the afterthought junk Jeep stuck in there.

May be a good idea to install new rubber mounts while you're in there. They don't cost much.

This design choice from Jeep was always a weird one to me. They gave the 4.0 the same motor mounts on both sides, but gave the 2.5L the crappy cradle and a smaller motor mount. Why? Who knows. Plus the aluminum block brackets that break under stress. Odd choices.

Yeah I was shaking my head at those.

One more thing when asking why it broke. Check the studs and threaded holes in the block which secure that mount to the block. I found on the bolts got loose on mine and ripped out the threads in the block.

I drilled, tapped, and inserted a Heli-Coil for new threads. I've used them for years and never had one fail.
