no check engine light when ignition is on position. will just crank over but not start. if check engine light is on.. will run ?? what is the problem ??

You didnt specify year or engine or any other pertinent information, so any replies are going to be guesses. Here's my guess and if I recall correctly, if its older than 1991, it doesn't have a check engine light, 91 and newer does. If it is a 91 or newer, and no start and no check engine light, that's indicative of a bad ECU.

I used these guys earlier this year for PCM fix and was happy with the results:

my jeep is a 95 4cyl 5 speed wrangler. Has anyone had a issue with the steering column wheel lock effecting the check engine light and not allowing it to get start to Starr?

No. Your issue is the PCM capacitors being bad and not allowing the check engine to light unless it lights up. It will crank and crank fine because that is not computer controlled but it will not start until that check engine light is lit from the computer doing what it needs to do. The real reason you can't start is because the computer will not turn on the injectors, the coil, or the fuel pump until the capacitors work and it can turn them all on.

Hallo from Germany,
on my 5.9 ZJ i got half the problem.
Engine running imediately and fin. Bit no needle in the Cockpit is moving, all on zero, and turning on ignotion no Engine Check Light. Bulb ok, and my Instrument Cluster is checked also in an 5.2 Z.

ASD-relay also switched. Most Sensors disconnected, no change. And on my OBD2 Adapter I see Instrumentsinformation and live datas. The CCD has 2,3 V both channels, Ground Good, 12.8 V from battery. Any ideas?
best regards and a nice day
