Upgrade Throttle Body 1993, 2.5l

Hey everyone,

I have a 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ with a 2.5 L engine.

I’ve seen people upgrade to the 4.0 throttle body to try to get more power out of the engine. I’ve also seen aftermarket upgrades at 62 mm. I’m sure that it doesn’t help much if you don’t bore out the main intake hole on the intake. But other than that is it just a direct swap or do you need to change out other things such as sensors or anything else to make this happen?

Has anyone on here done this upgrade?

Following. This is the first I've come across this modification and it's not outrageously priced.

I had a 91 2,5 and read up on the mod. The general consensus was its not the effort.

I thought that might be the case.
I watched some YouTube videos.. but it was a mixed bag. Looks promising but some work involved for little gains.

Seems to be the way with any 2.5 mod, exhaust, intake, chips, etc. best thing is to regear if them tires is to big. . Everyone says swap in a LS or 4.0 but thats not gonna happen for most of us.
