I have a Jeep Wrangler YJ 1992, 2.5 liter petrol engine, and i have a problem my engine is not fully working, it turned on check engine light, code "24" which causes the problem with TPS sensor. Sometimes the car won't even start. I have to take off the jack from TPS sensor so the car could turn on. Did anyone have the similar experince? Should i change TPS sensor or it could be something else?

I don't recall testing mine. Thanks for the link.
It's easy enough to test. Although I did have the 24 code once and the sensor still tested fine. I think it was a bit closer to being out of range. Anyways, a new sensor and the code never came back. I did not try erasing the code and seeing if the code would come back on the old sensor. I figured the 25 year old sensor at the time probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change since the code came up.
