Rear shock mount toast

The rear lower shock mount cracking is a pretty common problem for yj’s. Mine bit the dust after some light wheeling last weekend. It took me a while to find a good replacement part. Posting a link here to the replacement bracket I ordered. It is made in the USA and looks like an upgrade. Here is the link:

I too have Rancho shocks and needed that offset bracket so the shock tube didn't hit the differential. Rancho even recommends them but doesn't give any input about what type to use. That seems to be a problem because that little offset bracket gives more stress to the mount and is known to break off just like yours did especially if there any rust.

Without the little offset the forces are more of a downward motion than a rotational force which causes the break.

I'll have to check mine.
