No issues until replacing the positive battery cable, now it will not start

1992 YJ 4.0 6 Cylinder - NO issues! Pouring like a kitten until...
I replaced the Positive battery cable today - New cable to the starter and fuse box.
Now, the engine will not start. It just turns over.
Spark is good
fuel compression is good
Here's the trick. If I pour start fluid into the air intake; it starts right up and stays running. But, Check Engine light is now on.
Will not Start cold or hot, without help from starter fluid.

Check the engine code by cycling the key on and off and count the blinking lights. There procedure is found here in the resource section of this forum. Do you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on?

It ran perfectly before I changed the battery cable.
