Hey everyone!

I replaced the master cylinder with one from Rick Auto. It seems as if there was a push rod included with the part. However, I’m not sure where the push rod, if that’s what it is, would go. It seems as if the master cylinder bolted right up to the booster. Do I not need this rod?

Curious, too, maybe you should but you don’t have to. Not a fun job on top of brake pedal assembly. Give brakes an emergency push at 40mph and you will know what issues are left.

That makes sense. I did a complete brake job on the Jeep to include new brake lines. Bled the brakes and took the Jeep out for a ride and the brake pedal was still soft. I imagine there may be air in the new master cylinder?

Good chance of it.
