I have a 90 yj 4 cyl tbi with a newly rebuilt motor. It was running great but now It will run for about 10 minutes driving then just falls on its face. I can keep it running by fluttering the gas pedal but if I hold it or let off it dies. If i let it sit and cool down it starts right up and repeats above. It's been nuttered so no cpu.

New parts,
Alternator fuel pump fuel filter distributer plugs wires.

If it is TBI how is it running without cpu?

TBI usually have an idle control valve that's a moving plunger or sorts next to the throttle plate in the throat. That plunger moves to control a small amount to air and keep the idle speed constant. Quite often that plunger gets gummed up and starts to stick as the engine heats up. Start off by spraying Gumout in there to clean out the controller port and throttle plate.

I'll try it thanks!
