I've done this a couple times now and I thought it was just me until I saw a conversation about it in a yj facebook group, so I thought I'd ask here. How many of you have sacrificed a belt loop or two, to the door striker on your yj? Be honest now.

I haven’t lost any belt loops, yet. I’ve hung up on the striker a couple of times though. However, about an hour ago I tore a hole in my arm on the passenger side striker. I rarely get in on that side.
Too many times to count. In fact I’m wearing a pair right now. Glad they went to a different style on my TJ.

Not recently. I used to wear Wrangler work pants and it happened all the time with those. I think I have modified the way I get up in the Jeep too.
But yeah, my door striker has ripped off many right rear belt loops.

I've gotten hung up on it a few times but never broke a loop. From the factory there is a little cover plate over the striker. That is missing on most Jeeps which is a big part of the belt loop problem. Enough bumping into that thing and eventually it breaks off.
