How do I keep my hardtop from fading?

Wife got some UV protectant she found on Amazon for the bottom of the kayaks that spend the summer upside down on the dock. It definitely works, may be worth a try. I don’t know the name but she has bought it more than once and found it every time.
Ive used some marine specific stuff that worked pretty good for a while, but its all temporary as it will wash off.
