Yeah it’s a bummer for sure. Thankfully, it isn’t the end of the world and it could definitely have been worse. The parts are pretty easily replaced at least.

At least you didnt drive without your temperature sending unit and allowed all your coolant to shoot out while driving and almost blow a head gasket like me.

So far it only costed me $500 for new fuel injectors because the coolant ruined the old ones. No signs of blown head gasket still.
Ruined the injectors and coils with coolant on my Marquis when the plastic intake gave up, as Ford 4.6s are want to do every 100k.
Only cost me $2700.
