A shop replaced it with a plastic one and cut the filler neck to fit, making it a nightmare to fill. Without consent. Company is out of business now. Looking for the metal tank to put back,.

Sounds like they may not have removed the vent extension when they crammed the plastic tank in. Not sure if anyone makes a replacement 15 gallon metal tank.
