Fuel pump relay?

DISCLAIMER: I apologize in advance if this isn't posted in the correct spot...I'm new here.

I have a 1991 Wrangler YJ 6cly 4.0. About a week ago she died while driving about 20mph. I tried to start it & didn't hear fuel pump kick on. I check the shrader valve & had little to no fuel at the rail.

I checked resistance on all my relays they all checked out. I had 12 volts at the pump. Got old pump out & bench tested it. It made a noise but didn't pump out any gas.

Replaced the pump got everything put back together, turned key to on, no noise from fuel pump but I could hear relay clicking. I tried a couple more times, nothing! Another thing-I am missing the lid from my fuse box so I don't know which relay is what! So I swapped around a couple of relays (which I now understand I'm not supposed to do?) Then my starter didn't engage so i know one of the relays has to be bad. Or do I? Could one of the relays just not be the right amps or whatever for it to work? But I switched a couple more & it started right up!!! Everything worked! Drove it for a couple of days then stopped at Autozone & was talking to them about the relays went out to the Jeep & wouldn't start! Fuel pump not kicking on again. I checked all the fuses & swapped relays around again but couldn't get it going this time. If anyone has ANY SUGGESTIONS I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! Also if anyone can take a picture of their fuse box lid (under the hood by battery) I would be eternally grateful! If you've actually read all this rambling

Since switching relays did something I would start by pulling every fuse and relay, one at a time, and clean the tab blade connectors and spray them and the sockets with a good contact cleaner. I use Deoxit D5. Pricey but very good. Clean the pump connector too.

I've run into several connector issues all related to the age and corrosion on them.

Thanks for the suggestion! I took out every relay & cleaned contacts on them with Louisiana Hot Sauce (saw that on fixjeeps Youtube channel!) & it started right up! Now if I can just figure out which relay goes to what & make sure they all have the right kind of relay in them I'll feel a lot better. I'm afraid I have wrong amp rating in something that its gonna burn up. I just assumed if the prongs were the same they were same...

There is no issue with moving the relays around to test. Mine are still original Mopar from 1993. They are all the same part number and amperage rating. Check out my attached pic and save it for future reference in case you ever need it again. Maybe consider buying a lid from eBay if you can find one.

As for your issue, I couldn't tell you why you're having so many issues and the intermittent fuel issue. That's a weird one for sure since you have a new pump and moving the relays didn't really fix it, except sometimes temporarily. That is really bizarre. Maybe some sort of short somewhere or a wire below the PDC no longer staying anchored in the box properly and only making intermittent contact? That's really reaching though.

Oops. Just read this one. Guess you had bad contact on them or something. Per my previous post, there is nothing to worry about as long as the relays are factory sized. They are all the same factory part number, so worst case just buy 7 or less (however many you actually need) 56006707's from Mopar and call it good. They still sell the original relays.

Thanks so much for the picture!!! I've tried to figure out relays locations with my Haynes & Chiltons but I can't read a wiring diagram to save my life
