Likely cost you far to much but I wonder if you could use a Howell FI kit. It eliminates all the smog crap and is pretty basic with common FI parts pretty much.
Hi, I'm just thinking, could it be that my new injector is the wrong one or is faulty and 'allowing' or forcing too much fuel into the throttle body and that's what causing the terrible running?
Mechanic had given up saying it needs converting to a carb but I don't have the $$$ for that.
Could the overfuelling be pump related?
A new fuel pressure regulator didn't make a difference.
Or could it be the timing is way off, ie I've got a slipped timing chain , busted tooth in the engine etc?
Looks like I'll be fixing this myself as I'll take any fuel pressure advice.
Is there a part number or accurate part for the single injector?,
