I have a 94 yj 4.0L i think its an ax-15 transmission but i dont know much about it, it is a manual. The transmission is starting to go out in it, any opinions on what to get? Should i look around for a remaned ax-15? I also plan down the road to put a new motor in it, I was looking at the 4.6/4.7 titan motor because its relatively cheap and they will build and add like a cam and everything into it. Any opinions on this motor transmission combo? Or just a general suggestion on what to upgrade to?

The AX15 is definitely the better of the bunch for transmissions in jeeps. Considering all the mods needed to change to?? Id rebuild it or get a rebuilt one. Far as the engine goes, the shy is the limit, how much you wanna spend? The 4.0 is about as bullet proof as they come but no ball of fire. But hey, speed kills, drive a jeep as its said.
