ECM location on 1988 TBT 2.5L

Hey all, where would my ECM be on my 1988 2.5L TBT ?
I think it's supposed to be behind my water bottle on the driver side of the engine bay? I have a LHD if that helps. Thanks all.

It's as though they didn't know where it was either. I couldn't find much other than this..

Nice one, I found it behind the glove box but I can't seem to get it out. Bolted or screwed in really well and must have a special hidden screw or something. May have to leave it in there. Thanks for the pointer.

This is from the 1990 FSM found in the reference section in this forum. It may be the same mounting or totally different. I hope this helps.

That's good that it mentions the three bolts holding the ECU to the mount. I've undone one of them but the other two appear to be totally unreachable back there with no wriggle room for a screwdriver or ratchet. Maybe I have to take the heater and vent out. That would be a PITA!

Did you ever get the ECU out? I'm having the same problem but mine is bad and to change it out.

Hi, yeah many times. Had to buy three! It's easy when you know how. There are two bolts in the engine bay holding it in place. They are parallel and on my LHD version are very near the battery holder. I think one bolt is almost on top of the battery bracket. I'll take pictures. Once undone the ecu slides out along with the harness towards the seat direction. You'll have to undo have go! Cheers,
