Driver seat back slop

I have a 95 YJ with what I believe are the factory seats. The driver's seat back leans a lil back and to the inside when in the up right position. I realize this is normal wear for seats from most 2 door straight drive vehicles from that era. My goal is to take the slop out of the tilt mechanism so that the seat back sits more up right like the passenger seat instead of more laid back when it is tilted all the way forward. Anyone have any experience with this?

I shimmed the seat bracket up from the tub. Just used some thick metal I had lying around. Helped with leveling the seat cushion and brought the back more forward.

If yall are having issues leaning, I would suspect either the seat frame is broken and/or the ratchet mechanism is broken. Whatever is wrong is most likely inside the seat.

I inspected the ratchet mechanism and everything seems to be tight. I think the seat back frame has warped some but the seat cushion was tilted back which could be the frame or the foam itself. Shimming it will get me through until this winter when I plan to spend some time and money getting her back in shape.
