Hey guys down with Covid so I have time to mess with the yj.
Anybody have tips on cleaning the poly tank and fuel lines also?
I got a new pump so I’m trying to get those cleaned before installing.
Any input appreciated

If you are able to remove tank, I would flush with water then I would use a muriatic acid solution. Let it soak, then repeat a few times. Rinse very well with water. Then dry very well, using a hair dryer or something similar. Be very careful with the acid of course. Muriatic acid can be found at hardware stores, Lowes, etc.

The fuel coming from a plastic tank, I wouldn't think you'd have any trouble with any break down of the tanks inner wall ie. rust.....
You'd have to practically shovel dirt in it. Once you remove the old pump, You'll have a good 4" port to look down into to see the interior. I saw nothing when I changed my '95 OEM pump in '19. Install a new filter, Drivers side above the rear axle, Can't miss it....
Hope this helps and good luck......Wanna save some time? I've been doing this for years to get the fuel pumps on my Pick-Ups to keep
from pulling the beds, And I used this when i knew I had a bad YJ FP........
