Just a curiosity question, my CAD delete plate came with 2 different seals and not 1 or 2 but, 8 of the same snap ring.
WHY?

The plate doesn't even need a gasket (didn't come with one or bolts) and 1 piece axles aren't ground for a CAD seal.
Why else would you want the plate except for a one piece and to just keep the bigger chunks out of the tube?
Kinda Bizarre...

Well the 30 spline shafts you bought will come with 8 full circle snap rings. Those are an upgrade from the small snap rings that normally come with front axle u-joints. The u-joints always come with them so just discard those and use the full circle ones.

The seal situation really should just be one seal installed into passenger diff tube. They give you another seal for the CAD area but really that’s worthless. Fluid isn’t leaving the diff once it’s sealed there and the block off plate keeps crap out of the CAD. The cad seal the supply really doesn’t make sense.

OK on snap rings, just matched them up, wonder why they were in the bag with seals.
Or maybe it was vice versa and they threw seals in with the clips.
As for the seals, definitely neither are inners.
Install kit has those, not even close.
Maybe the seals are for those who want to just permanently lock the stock axles.

No, the seals that come in the install kit are typically for a TJ or XJ axle (which doesn’t have the CAD and uses two identical seals, each on either side of the diff. The YJ doesn’t have the factory passenger diff seal and the tube isn’t machined for it. The seal that you actually install there looks much different than the ones that come in the install kit. So you will use one from the install kit and one of the ones from the CAD kit. The one left over (for the cad) is up to you to use or not. Personally I’d skip it, there is no need for a seal out there once you seal the diff.

if you take pics of all the seals I can help you figure out which one goes where.

The factory YJ axle only has a seal at the cad and a seal at the driver diff. That is because fluid has to make its way down to the cad to lube the fork so it works smoothly. Later XJs and all TJs have the one piece shaft with no CAD. They have 27 spline factory shafts and they have two identical seals, one on each side of the diff.

TJ Rubis have the front D44 with 30 spline shafts and two identical seals with larger inner diameters. You need a TJ Rubi seal for driver diff. So yes the seals that came in your gear install kit are trash since those are for 27 splines.

The seals in your CAD delete kit are meant to go one at the cad and one at the passenger diff and it should be large inner diameter for your larger shafts. You don’t really need the cad one. If you post pics I can identify which is which.

Spicer 54381 is the Rubi 44 seal. Get one of those for drivers side diff. It’s the same OD as everything else but larger ID for 30 spline. Technically your cad delete kit should have had 3 seals but oh well.
