Best way to work under jeep?

Hello!

Bit of a silly question, but does anyone have strong feelings on how to access the underbelly? It’s my first project car, most of my mechanical experience comes from motorcycles. I’m wondering what wisdom is out there.

my 93yj does not have a lift kit and I don’t plan on installing one, so I have at most 18 inches work space currently. Add skid plates and a roller cart and there are a few places I just can’t get to.

I’m currently focusing in rust removal and repair. I have one small place on the bottom of the frame that I’m looking to weld a brace onto, but I’m sure it won’t be the last time it will be used.

Would something like this get me enough space to safely work underneath it? https://a.co/d/0iZbEwDk. I feel like those and some tire chalks feels pretty safe.

If not, does anyone have other suggestions? I’m sure this is one of those ‘million ways to do it’ type things but figured I’d ask what other people use.

Thanks!
J
