The previous owner stated that he put a new clutch in and it would not start. He had replaced the crank position sensor, coil, cap rotor and wires. I pulled every connection apart and cleaned them. I replaced all of the fusible links, and a few bare and broken wires. there were signs of some bad connections. I also add new grounds. I then got a rebuild computer from wrangler fix because mine was non reparable. I put the new computer in and still have no spark. What else could it be? Could he have done something when he put the clutch in to affect the crank position sensor?

When you first turn on the ignition key to "RUN" do you see the Check Engine light illuminate? If so, can you do a check for codes to see if there's any faults?

Had same issue on my 1988 YJ 4.2 .Sometimes would start/run fine, other times would not start after being parked for a brief time or just quit while driving.Ended up replacing Ignition Control Module that is below coolant overflow tank [driver side close to fender/firewall]. Had same problem with 78/79 Ford PU's + always carried a spare.
