    Huge thanks to you guys who posted and did the research, I ended up keeping the security device on and cutting a little off the dash to slip it over the column. Once that bib went on it came out prefect.

    Y'know, I ended up doing cutting it since I did want to keep the device on for the future. It actually came out great, and I have this Steering Column cover which will mask it. It came out a lot better than I thought. Pictures soon

    I think you're right, to keep it on there. I 'll just have to cut out the dashboard to make it fit. Will post pics when it's done. Thanks a ton for your help

    Damn, Kydex is a perfect idea for any patching I might have to do on the vinyl in the future. Great idea, thanks for the tip!

    Not cut them off yet, pretty iffy on actually going that route lest I do some permanent damage. Replacing the whole steering column is beyond my skill level!

    Trying to install this flat dash (pic 1) but the cutout is juuuuust too small with these little nubs on the steering column (pics 2-5). the hell are these things, every other steering column I see doesn't have them. Are they brackets for a crimp? I wonder if I can just grind them down? Anyone...
