    Dana 44 swap

    I've had good luck with my 2007 jk axles D44 rear d30 front 4:10 gears. I got the set for $800 on craigslist. All I've done since is lockers, Aussie front and OX rear.

    BTW: I'm still running the 4.2 with automatic trans. Maybe I'm not sending enough power to detonate the Aussie! But I do give it a run for the money on the Daniel trail in Uwharrie National Forest in NC. HooYah!

    My dana 30 is High pinion and handles the Aussie locker fine. I don't know why you would want a selectable locker for the front axle? The Aussie locker only engages when in 4WD, so if your not sending power to the front axle it is still and open differential. I love my Ox locker in the rear...

    What tires do you like?

    I run Kanati Mud Hog 35x12.5-17 at 8psi with beadlocks on the rocks. Very pleased and cheap!

    I have 2007 JK axles under my YJ. The front is Dana 30 with Aussie locker. It is great an only engages when in 4WD. Went with OX locker for the rear D44 and love being locked and low on the trails!

    Anyone put a 4BBL Holley model 4160 carb on a stock intake manifold?

    Anybody out there? I'm guessing I'm gonna have to get an aftermarket manifold to put a 4bbl on a 4.6.

    Has anyone found a winch with a bolt pattern that would mount to frame / bumper?

    Harbor Freight has a winch mounting plate that will reach both frame rails for $50. Will have to remove plastic piece over frame rails and drill holes to match stock tow hook bolts.

    Does anyone know a good replacement for an OEM carburetor in a 1988 YJ?

    Had a Weber 38/38? Not great on steep climbs... Floods out. Now using Motorcraft 2100 1.08 venturi. Same crappy mileage but does great off road!
