    Broken seat bolt and mount

I personally would do my best to drill out the bolt if I was unable to turn it on out with vise grips from underneath. And put a new bolt through with a nut and whatever size washers or drilled steel plate and call it fixed.

Weber 38 degrees on 1987 Wrangler no start (need help identifying vacuum lines)

Someone at some time probably did the Nutter. But I stripped ALL the wiring because it was butchered past all belief. Made my own harness. It has what it needs and nothing that it doesn’t.. The fuse box is from Summit and is located where the glove box was. I had no intention of changing any...

    YJ overheating and fueling issues

Well, what is meant by this is that the thermostat opens a little earlier and gives some more headroom on the temperature. Yes a new radiator is a good idea, but you already had that in the queue. Good luck

Weber 38 degrees on 1987 Wrangler no start (need help identifying vacuum lines)

Photos of my engine. The B line is not attached, but my carb is the DGVE 32/36. You will probably have to trace it out and see where it goes. My guess is that it is either a return of some kind or a float bowl overflow. But I am just reaching for crap because I don’t know.

    YJ overheating and fueling issues

You can also install a 160 deg. Thermostat. Helped mine a lot. Got mine at Advance auto for about $7.

Weber 38 degrees on 1987 Wrangler no start (need help identifying vacuum lines)

The PCV valve on mine is on the front and looked to me like it is on yours as I can see something shiny around the edge. That may not be correct because the pcv will fit in either end of the valve cover. The fitting on the rear of the valve cover looks like it is all black like mine was. That...

Weber 38 degrees on 1987 Wrangler no start (need help identifying vacuum lines)

The O2 sensor does not need to be used with the Weber. Line A is crank case evacuation looks like going to manifold or bottom of carburetor. Mine and most that I have seen go to a fitting in the bottom of air cleaner on a Weber equipped jeep. B I’m not sure what it is without looking at mine. C...

YJ Seat Recommendations And Floor Coating Advice

Probably not for everyone, but I got the Bestop Trailmax II Pro’s in fabric. We think they are very comfortable, wider than stock I believe and probably tighter between the wheel. But it’s do able for me. I’m 6’3” and 240lbs.

    87 YJ Seat Belts

The Seatbelt solutions are what I bought a couple months ago and I see that they are even higher now. Good selection of colors, can find about anyone you could want.

Roll bar cargo net: YJ vs TJ

I can’t tell you the exact difference in the two but they are similar enough that I can’t imagine that there isn’t enough adjustment in the TJ net that it couldn’t be made to fit. It is just straps. I definitely would give it a try.

Driveshaft vibration after RC 2.5 inch suspension

The pinion is pointing up too high as it sits in photo. Go to Tom Woods drive shaft web sight, and it tells how to measure drive line angles and has a calculator that will give you the correct shim for your situation.

Theft Prevention for Jeep YJ - What Do You Use?

Absolutely, I am very surprised at the number of people even up in their 40’s that aren’t able to drive a standard.

    91 YJ 2.5 manual rebuild

For what I believe it will cost you, I would tackle the body mount nuts and sheet metal work myself. Even if it is your first time, just my opinion. I would also do my own paint. Since you have not tried painting, I guess that just depends on how picky you are about the paint on your Jeep. You...

1987 YJ power steering gear box

Can’t tell from the pictures, but is the steering box mounted? If not mount it first. Have you taken the shaft all the way out? And if you have are you able to collapse and extend it? Also you may try expanding the end of the shaft a little by driving a wedge or chisel into the split. The bolt...

Theft Prevention for Jeep YJ - What Do You Use?

Yeah if they want it bad enough anything can be overcome. But the average teenager or smash and grab junky are not usually that hard to foil.

    1995 Brake Swith Issue

Not the answer you are looking for, but I believe that I would try to fab up a small bracket that would work. I was going to go that route, but needed to replace the brake proportioning valve. So I ended up getting a Wilwood manually adjustable valve that had a brake light switch built into it...

It’s been a few weeks now that I have gotten the old pig drivable after almost 4 years since buying it. Still working out some kinks.

    Trouble removing windshield hinges

Sounds like yours had captured nuts mine is an 89 and did not. It was the original hinges, there was no paint under the seam sealer. Also no paint on the outside under the hinges. Same goes for the rear tailgate hinges. Apparently, in 89 at least the outer body hardware was all added then the...

    Trouble removing windshield hinges

Replaced mine recently and the dash was completely apart. Even the main metal plate that goes on first. Don’t think that I could’ve done it any other way. I ended up using a propane torch on the seam sealer that was covering the nuts. Digging out the seam sealer was probably the biggest pain.
