1995 Sahara auto to manual swap

Interesting, I have a new Novak trans still in the box for a year that I haven’t even opened yet. And I have a 89 Np231 to mate it to. Looks like I’ll be in the same boat.

    Rust Repair Approach

I personally would check to see how solid it is overall. If it will hold up to a few hammer strikes and not come apart I would just grind and fix the pin holes, then hit the rusty areas with rust converter then brush on some POR15. If you are unable to weld up the pin holes my old pre welding...

    1990 YJ A/C pressure valve

Yeah, this may be a problem. In 1990 it should have been an R12 system. R12 is outrageously expensive now if it can even still be obtained. A local friend of mine who does all my ac work had told me in the past that the systems that used different refrigerants are not compatible with one...

    1990 YJ A/C pressure valve

Although it wouldn’t be OEM, it is hard to believe that another valve could not be made to work if you just need it to work. If this is the case, let me know, I may be able to suggest someone in the Parkersburg area.

    Help with windshield frame hinges

No offense intended, but if just a couple seconds at a time does any good it couldn’t have been all that stuck. I have used a oxy acetylene torch with a gas welding tip to heat mine to get loose. And yes, burned all the paint off everything around it. Usually had to heat 3 times and use PB...

Shackles at an angle: are my leaf springs bent?

My personal guess and I stress guess would be that with a softer riding more flexible spring the difference in handling would be more noticeable.

New member, 92 YJ Islander RHD (and a couple pics of the other stuff)

Great job, and it wasn’t that bad to start with really, at least compared to mine. My biggest problem has been finding “ any” decent metal to weld to. It is what it is.

    Attention lift gurus

Thanks Gilaguy, when it was all together it was hard to tell and my measurements were based on using a tape measure and eyeballing from spring eye to spring eye. It also had a 3” body lift and 35’s, so measures from the ground up were hard for me to estimate based on what stock would be.

    Attention lift gurus

Pulling a cord from spring eye center to spring eye center and measuring down to top of leaf spring at axle is 7 1/2". There is no weight of course, but what would be the opinion of the lift kit experts on the amount of lift over factory? When it was on the jeep my best guess was 4" but I could...
