When I bought my 89 (4.2), it was manual steering with 32 inch tires and a body lift. Stock gearing. Within the first 5 minutes of driving it, I knew these mods were not for me. I should add, I actually did the opposite. I bought my Islander with some mods - I found original parts and swapped most of the mods out back to stock. I knew I'd never be interested in using the modification pieces again so I sold them all.

I wish more people around me had saved seats and now wanted to get rid of them. I'm having no luck finding grey cloth locally and I fear they are too big to ship! As for keeping it yourself - if you will never put it back to stock and need the space, maybe move it a long. Or if you're tastes...

As others have said, looks like a quick fix for you - install a new unit and replace the connector. I have never had one leak on mine, but my original did go bad and was reading pretty much pegged all the time. I replaced it with one from rock auto and it has been good ever since. About 10...
