For me, what it looks like is what is.
A Monster Truck YJ would still be a YJ.
I was building a radical, air sprung '43 GWP, but it was still a military Jeep to me.
In full disclosure I'm not completely familiar with the YJ platform.
But, I have read quite a bit about failing Crank Position Sensors (CPS) acting in this way.
Probably be a good idea to have All your gear train serviced.
Transmission, Transfer case, U joints and the Differentials.
By the looks of it, it's probably never been done, they often neglected.
The meet, greet, ride is an AWSOME idea!
It would take a lot of planning and leg work, but I love the idea.
I'm going to look into the logistics and see just how practical that might be, maybe we can get something going.
I am an old clubber myself and they were some of the best days of my life...
I'm hip brother, that's why the console worked out so well for my purposes.
I understand keeping the jack, but I knew I'd be running a Hi-Lift regardless.
I've worn out Hi-Lift jacks and the factory jack just had no place on mine.
You are right, there is just no place to put anything in these...
Well you've seen how I did my acc wiring panel under the hood, but that did also involve building a harness and tossing the old jack.
The beauty of it was I only had to cut one wire in the factory harness, but that was just to install a resistor for low beams.
The LED headlights are ridiculously...
There is a tap on the fuse panel under the dash for an ignition hot if you need one for the relays.
At least there is on mine, though it is not hot while it's cranking, only when running.
I'll try to get a pic next time I see the Joop. Just FYI.
Just what I was thinking, though I don't have mine handy to look at.
Given the routing from the harness and the direction it's going, it's something for the CAD.
EDIT : Macho is probably right, the vent for the vac switch makes sense, as does your pic from the manual.
That's awesome!
Have great time!
I'm looking forward to more "camp fire Jeeping" instead of the usual troubles.
At least among those of us regulars.
Things like, you wouldn't believe where I took the Jeep weekend.
My new locker is awesome, This winch is great, other adventures, etc.
Not that...
I love the '50s instrumental stuff, but I'm an Old Guy.
Grew up listening to '70s & '80s pop, but these days I pretty much just listen to AM talk radio.
Do still occasionally enjoy some good Metal, though.
Metallica, Nightwish, White Zombie, etc.
