    '95 Sahara, 1st YJ

Nice work. I wound up ordering some rubber covers for the posts, just as a precaution. I felt that kit was prepared well and everything fit where and how it should.

    No crank, no lights

Yeah, that was a little tricky. I wound up shaving down that cover to cover what I could with it.

    No crank, no lights

Yes, I removed the two 50A fuses and used their external fuse. I haven't had any issue. I didn't have any trouble running the alternator wire, it was pretty straight forward. I just secured the old wire back to the loom.

93 YJ 2.5 5-speed; crank, no start, no check engine light

I definitely recommend the Big 7 kit. That was the very first thing I did to my YJ when I got it. The battery cables were corroded and the ground strap from the cylinder head to the firewall was almost severed. Rather then spend the next few years chasing down old grounds and other possible...

    No crank, no lights

Yes, I put dielectric grease on all the connecting points as it is good at resisting water and corrosion. As I was adding a winch and lights and maybe other things down the road, I opted for the 2G kit. I had no problems routing the wiring in the bay. The kit comes nicely labeled for what wire...

    No crank, no lights

The first thing I did when I started tearing into my Sahara project was to pick up the Big 7 wire kit from Jeep Cables. My battery cables were looking corroded and it gave me a good reason to go through and clean all the grounding points on the engine, firewall, etc. All new cables in one step...

Yeah, that was my exact thought when I was lining it all up. That tail pipe going IN to the muffler exit, made zero sense to me. It's a tight turn too so I know I have a small leak there as well. I have been looking around for a better tail pipe section for it. It also looks kinda lame at the...

What a pain. My Walker Quietflow SS muffler fit right into the Walker straight section of pipe, which the JBA mid pipe fit right into from the other side. My issue was the backside of the Walker muffler as both sides are the same diameter so the rear exhaust had to fit inside of it, it should...

Stupid question but can you not flip the sway bar links around the other way so they bow away from the axle? I forgot they are bowed like that as I removed mine for some "removable" links that are just straight up and down.

    Exhaust geometry problems

Yeah, I kept looking at it for a while because it was pricy. I think when I bought it, it was about $350. I finally said screw it and pulled the trigger. It looked well made and it is so I had the same thought, that it would probably outlast the Jeep lol. Nope, I installed it all with the skid...

    Exhaust geometry problems

It really was very easy to do overall. I don't have a welder so I wanted to get it together and not have to take it to a shop. I decided to give those clamps a shot and thus far, they have worked very well. The mid pipe hanger is curved and fits into the rubber hanger just as if it was OEM. That...

    Exhaust geometry problems

I pieced my exhaust together and it's worked very well for me. I have a Banks header (which doesn't matter for this conversation) with a JBA mid pipe from that header that routes the exhaust in front of the oil pan like the TJ. I did have to move the hanger back a few inches to make it sit...

It's alive lol!!! It's been a long road back but I am sure it feels good to be able to drive it again.

Definitely agree on the look. Nothing wrong with a totally stock YJ but the "street" tires they came with just look so out of place to me. I have KO2's on my YJ and sure they are nosier than a street tread tire but not near enough to be annoying to me, anyway. I think that little aggressive add...

What goes here on the windshield sides?

Yeah, I have those same holes in mine as it had a soft top on it when I bough it. I removed all the soft top parts to use the half hard top I made instead. It bugs me to have all the holes in those side channels but I have just left them.

    Vintage OEM Decal Kits

Phoenix Graphics is your best bet. They make a lot of decal sets for classic Jeeps.

Roll bar padding windshield attachment bars

I picked up some sport roll bar covers from a local Jeep recycler here in the Daytona Beach area. He had a lot of pads from various year YJ's in stock. I would definitely check a place like that. There are many online.

    '95 Sahara, 1st YJ

You'd think they would be there but I am guessing they used a tailgate from an earlier YJ as the model? Before the 3rd brake light was a thing. I would think they would use a later version and if your YJ didn't have the 3rd brake light, you could just plug the holes but I guess it's not a big...

    1995 Sahara project

Well, the Jeep has been running great. Daytona Beach winter is such a great time to be driving the YJ and I have been doing that quite a bit. I just love driving this thing as much as I can. So a few weeks back, I was driving and the Jeep just felt different to me going down the road. I...
