    Winch bumper

Well, I was looking at my jeep this morning and decided I like the basic, minimalist look. I’m not doing much off road on tree lined forest trails. Most of mine is sand/beach. So with that said, I’m going to get a winch plate and the Warn VR EVO8-S winch and go simple. I may upgrade the...

    Winch bumper

Exactly. I’m looking at the VR8swinch. After looking at many many bumpers, I’m thinking about just a winch plate on my current stock bumper and the the winch. I like the clean simple look

    Winch bumper

Over the next month or so I’m looking at installing a winch. I’m curious what y'all currently run. I definitely want something solid and I am not a fan of the stinger models. I thought stubby but it doesn’t matter. My running is mostly beach and sand, not rocks and trees etc.

'93 Wrangler YJ 4.0 doesn't start: turns over, good spark, 40 psi at fuel rail

Sometimes it’s simple as a clogged filter. Sound like no gas to the engine and it’s all as it should be. Sometime sediment can be picked up. Your issue could be in the fuel tank

Have you thought about POR-15 coating? I’ll be using it on the under body of my jeep.

    Door uppers

Yeah, that would be a show stopper. They definitely slide into the holes on the lower doors. Mine fit pretty easily.

    Door uppers

I should know this considering in early November I installed the same thing. The doors were a royal PITA. If memory serves you should be fine with what you have. I wish I had taken picture.

Carbureted YJ sputters only when heat or radio are on

I’d agree that this Sounds like a timing issue. I believe the 2.5l is computer controlled timing. The only questions I’d have is the procedure to install a new distributor… is it specifically and could it cause the issues. also the order of the plug wires. Lord knows I’ve messed that up...

Should I rebuild my manual transmission or buy a remanufactured unit?

Good information. I think that was one of the companies I looked at. Cost was right around 1k after core.

    Cosmetic upgrade…

More updates. New Bestop soft Top. What a pia to put on new. The door skins were the hardest. Had everything out in the sun for a few hours to soften up but still a pia. Now that it’s done I’m happy.

    '95 Sahara, 1st YJ

Good looking Jeep. Defiantly agree with maintaining, upgrading and driving these jeeps instead of the newer computerized cars/trucks/jeeps.

Carbureted YJ sputters only when heat or radio are on

Fyi… ran across a post on another forum that is similar to yours. He turned on the headlights and the engine died. Turns out it was a bad ground. Seems there are multiple grounds on the YJ and they go bad on occasion.

Carbureted YJ sputters only when heat or radio are on

Sounds like alternator is working fine. My guess is you have a bad ground or a short somewhere. The issue is… where. Electrical is a pain to trace.
