    I am missing a small plastic plate at the lower inside of the air box. Looks like it was held on my screws or ribbits. Does anyone have this peice and what is it for?

    Okay the white wire 8 volts, blue wire is 5 Volts, Brown is Ground. New plug has white/orange and black (G), orange. I swapped the 8v wire and the 5v wire and still nothing. So, I switched them back to the way the manual states.

    Changed them back like the service manual states and still no speedometer. I guess a dash is next.

    yea I know I have the ground correct the other 2 is what I think I may have crossed. I will see today.

    so, I guess it is factory violent / orange to Orange and factory white/ orange to white/orange. If they are reversed, will it hurt it? I did drive it yesterday and the speedometer did not work. I will recheck today.

    I got a new speed sensor for my YJ and the wiring colors do not match, How is it suppose to be wired? Does it hurt if you wire the 8v and the pulse wire backwards.

    How do I install the inner shift boot?

    yea I have a transfer case drop and my boot try's to make my trans come out of gear. When it cold I have to hold it until the boot heats up. Wish someone made a soft rubber boot.

    speedometer in jeep doesn't work. I am working on getting it too now. I ordered a speed sensor after I verified it had 8.5 volts to the wire.

    you are correct. I was gps at 62@2500. My son doesnt watch the dash correctly.

    My speedometer doesn't work and there is not 8v going to the plug. Where does the other end of the harness go to? This is a 1992 and doesn't have a cable.

    It is gutless. Feels like a 4 cylinder Toyota truck I drove of my friends. But it will run 70 on the highway in 4th gear at 2400 rpms.

    Just picked up a YJ with a 2.5l. Runs great not much power with 35's and a 4 inch lift but everything works. Just found out it has an 8.8 in it. For 2k cash I dont think that was a bad deal.
