1994 Hunter Green SE “Back to Stock” Thread

What a pain. My Walker Quietflow SS muffler fit right into the Walker straight section of pipe, which the JBA mid pipe fit right into from the other side. My issue was the backside of the Walker muffler as both sides are the same diameter so the rear exhaust had to fit inside of it, it should...

Stupid question but can you not flip the sway bar links around the other way so they bow away from the axle? I forgot they are bowed like that as I removed mine for some "removable" links that are just straight up and down.

    Exhaust geometry problems

Yeah, I kept looking at it for a while because it was pricy. I think when I bought it, it was about $350. I finally said screw it and pulled the trigger. It looked well made and it is so I had the same thought, that it would probably outlast the Jeep lol. Nope, I installed it all with the skid...

    Exhaust geometry problems

It really was very easy to do overall. I don't have a welder so I wanted to get it together and not have to take it to a shop. I decided to give those clamps a shot and thus far, they have worked very well. The mid pipe hanger is curved and fits into the rubber hanger just as if it was OEM. That...

    Exhaust geometry problems

I pieced my exhaust together and it's worked very well for me. I have a Banks header (which doesn't matter for this conversation) with a JBA mid pipe from that header that routes the exhaust in front of the oil pan like the TJ. I did have to move the hanger back a few inches to make it sit...

It's alive lol!!! It's been a long road back but I am sure it feels good to be able to drive it again.

Definitely agree on the look. Nothing wrong with a totally stock YJ but the "street" tires they came with just look so out of place to me. I have KO2's on my YJ and sure they are nosier than a street tread tire but not near enough to be annoying to me, anyway. I think that little aggressive add...

What goes here on the windshield sides?

Yeah, I have those same holes in mine as it had a soft top on it when I bough it. I removed all the soft top parts to use the half hard top I made instead. It bugs me to have all the holes in those side channels but I have just left them.

    Vintage OEM Decal Kits

Phoenix Graphics is your best bet. They make a lot of decal sets for classic Jeeps.

Roll bar padding windshield attachment bars

I picked up some sport roll bar covers from a local Jeep recycler here in the Daytona Beach area. He had a lot of pads from various year YJ's in stock. I would definitely check a place like that. There are many online.

    '95 Sahara, 1st YJ

You'd think they would be there but I am guessing they used a tailgate from an earlier YJ as the model? Before the 3rd brake light was a thing. I would think they would use a later version and if your YJ didn't have the 3rd brake light, you could just plug the holes but I guess it's not a big...

    1995 Sahara project

Well, the Jeep has been running great. Daytona Beach winter is such a great time to be driving the YJ and I have been doing that quite a bit. I just love driving this thing as much as I can. So a few weeks back, I was driving and the Jeep just felt different to me going down the road. I...

    1995 4.0 spark plugs

These old 4.0's like the cheap plugs. I had read that over and over and when I did my rebuild, I just went with the old Champion copper plugs in mine and she runs great with them.

    Original Sahara Tire Cover?

If you know anybody who is proficient with Adobe Illustrator, that image could be made to be any size and then sent to the company.

1995 YJ turn signal works but then stops with non-blinking green light

They do simply pull out, toward you. They have been in place for most likely, 24 years so they might be comfortable where they are lol. Just pull on them, they will come out.

    Shift knob insert

The best stuff ever lol. It's very similar to Shoe Goo if you have ever seen that. It's a strong adhesive that dries like a strong rubber. I have used it for years for all sorts of things. It's a slow cure though, so if you use it let it cure properly.

Will automatic transmission from 89 XJ fit 90 YJ?

Can't agree with this statement more. Not to mention all the other odds and ends you will need from a donor to make that swap work. I would just spend the time and teach her how to drive the manual. It's a great skill for her to learn anyway and the YJ manual would be pretty easy to learn on.

So crazy that it was indeed the flywheel. I have used the LUK flywheels for my go to on OEM replacements for many vehicles over the years. Like dodgerammit mentioned, I will do my best to fix a part or pull it from the yard before I have to buy some Chinese replacement. Thankfully I picked up my...

(SOLVED) Jeep died when coming to stop. Cranks, but won't restart.

I had the exact same issue when I did mine. I laid it down as it instructed but it didn't line up. Looked at the old one and scratched my head for a second. Did the same thing, flipped it around and over and saw that the holes would line up, so in it went. Not sure why it's like that.
