    My new to me YJ

My 92 has a 2.5L, AX5 and 31's. Flat land here and I can cruise around in 5th and even hit 70 on the highway. Not any acceleration monster but that's probably how I drive anyhow. Whopping 14 MPG.

    Help with windshield frame hinges

Same for me but I spray some penetrating oil on the bolt when it's hot and let it soak in. Make sure the bolt isn't painted over, that just makes it more difficult to remove. I was given one of these hand held impact wrenches about 40 years ago and it still comes in very useful

Holy Hannah (rear main seal blew)

When you have the leaky seal out take a good look at the surface on the crankshaft the seal runs on. Prior to rebuild mine had a groove worn in it. If there's a groove you may need to tap on a speedi-sleve. I've used them several time and they've always worked.

Holy Hannah (rear main seal blew)

I have the '92 2.4L engine and I'm not sure about the 4.0L. This can be a common problem with older and new car when excessive pressure builds up in the crankcase and causes seals to leak or fail. On my 2.4L there's a small brass fitting inside the valve cover under on of the small towers and...

    Where can I find a gauge cluster for a 95 YJ 5-speed?

I'll put this out here even though most owners want stock but if you opt for a custom dash this company makes GPS and VVS gauges. I think they'll even ad a custom logo. https://speedhut.com/

Maybe the crankcase breather is blocked?

Is there a roll bar available that connects the windshield to the roll cage when the top is off?

No just the padded tubes and now a hardtop. I'm still not near my YJ to take a look.

Is there a roll bar available that connects the windshield to the roll cage when the top is off?

I've never unzipped the padding on mine to see what's underneath but I'm certain the bars over the drivers door are round tubes. When i get home I'll take a look.

Is there a roll bar available that connects the windshield to the roll cage when the top is off?

Hmmm.i learned something new. I though mine was welded tube and bolted to the windshield. I'll have to take a closer look.

Is there a roll bar available that connects the windshield to the roll cage when the top is off?

I've never seen one like that. Did someone cut off the bars that go to the windshield?

    What is this?

If they don't want it back that's why I say sell it. My quick search showed it out of stock. $400 will buy a lot of Jeep parts.

95 2.5 Idles Erratically Then Stalls at Operating Temperature

Great info about the ECU and faults. I'm lucky not to have any problems and made every effort to clean every electrical/fuse connection ihad access to during my YJ overhaul. 30 years of vibration and corrosion takes a toll. I want whatever coffee you have :) Cheers

Cold start problem on 92 2.5

Yes, a year ago it dropped just a few pounds over a 6 hour period. I'll check it again. Pressure with only the pump priming and after start are normal when doing the test in the FSM.

Cold start problem on 92 2.5

I'm not sure what's normal for a '92 2.5L on a cold start. Summer or winter my 92, 2.5L sounds like it takes four compressions (1 each of 1-4 cyl) or two seconds of cranking before starting when it's been sitting overnight. Each start thereafter during the day is great and fires up right...

1994 Hunter Green SE “Back to Stock” Thread

I couldn't get the shift knob off and ended up twisting off the threaded top off the shift lever. I gave up trying the transfer knob.
