    What is it?

We have a Great group of helpful folks here who will actually look for an answer if they don't already have one. BTW and off topic, I like your "Flying Tiger" Avatar. What can I say, I'm cat people.

    '92 Jeep YJ (Jurassic Build)

A Bantam would indeed have been nice, but talk about hens teeth! Though I actually think the more "modern" styling (using the term loosely) is a better fit. It looks great!

    Toggle switch rating questions

I'm fully familiar with 3 phase electric, VFD's and PLC control myself, it can be mind boggling for sure! At one time I was going to put a touch screen and PLC in my Jeep, but it just didn't pan out. As i get older I'm finding the further I get away from any kind of tech, the happier i am.

    Toggle switch rating questions

It is, the Amp rating is the rating, though I try to give myself about a 10-20% margin. The Voltage rating is describing the upper limit of the contacts before they start arcing. Think of it like a fuse, most glass fuses are rated @125 Volts, but they still blow at their Amp rating no matter...

How can I get more power out of my 4 cylinder Jeep?

In my experience, Jeeps are All about gears, the lower the better though their are reasonable limits. Re-gearing axles helps on the street, especially with a 4 banger, deep reduction trannies make all the difference Off-road. Been considering a swap myself, but out of frustration more than...

    Jeep dies

That would be what I call the "Tidy-Bowl" touch, when everything you touch turns to :poop:!! Been there, seen that...And lately way too much. When I was young it seemed like I could turn junk-yard crap into gold, now the needle seem to be swinging other way. Or maybe I'm just waxing philosophical.

I've seen that before, not an option for me with my storage arrangement. (See my build thread "Fluffy") That and the tub is so clean I don't think I could bring myself to butcher it even if it was an option.

The more things change, the more they stay the same, as the saying goes.

    Front Track Bar

I dunno, when it runs, my Jeep is pretty nimble. And what's wrong with Aircraft Carriers? I've owned 30+ hoopty's, and some of them were Aircraft Carriers, but I loved them. Guess I just have soft spot for big old Boats. Once had a '77 New Yorker and I wanted to paint a red "water line" on it...

How hard to replace transfer case with a remanufactured one?

I used a banana wrench for the top 2 nuts on mine. But Macho's suggestion is probably better.

    Hard Starting With Weber Carb

Ouch! The last carb kit I bought cost me about $25, I guess it's been a while! That is an interesting fix though, If only Plasti-Dip was available 30 years ago... Please let us know how it works out. Not that I have a carb anymore, but as an old mechanic, I'm always looking for new tricks (or...

One of my skirmishes was with the factory skid pan and the OMIX tank, any suggestions on a replacement pan? Preferably not stamped steel, but not an arm, leg and your first born either. If it's coming out, I'm winning this war.

    Hard Starting With Weber Carb

That will do it. Been in many of that style Weber, and that's usually the fail point, that or the throttle shafts. It's not like that failure is a weakness, they're good little carburetors when they're right. They just get old, and the really old ones don't like ethanol. Whenever I bought a...

    Awesome Hood Light Setup

My point made exactly, though Macho does have a point about just unplugging them, albeit a PITA. But I do get where he's coming from...KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) I still think the swivel mounts are a great idea though!

Well I think I found my problem, no fuel pressure. Reached in through the wheel well to the fuel pump connector and felt chewed wires. PACKRATTUS BASTARDICUS!!!!!!! So the tank has to come out, AGAIN... And it did me the disservice of being full, I can siphon it, but still. AHRGG!
