Blinker issue

Anyone have a blinker that doesn't shut itself off after you make a turn? It seems that something broke in the column that it won't turn my left blinker off after I make a turn . It's annoying because when it's sunny out it's too bright to see the blinker light blinking so I drive around with my blinker on. Any thoughts on that?

My guess is either the cancelling cam broke or the turn signal switch broke. It will be a column teardown regardless. The canceling cam is pretty easy to replace at least.

Mine acted the same way and something like this fixed it

Thanks, cheap fix but .... Big job I suppose. I guess you'll see me driving around with my port blinker flashing all the time!

Not too difficult really. The FSM available on this site walks you through removing the steering wheel from the column. There’s no airbag to worry about. You can borrow a steering wheel removal tool from your local parts store for free.

That doesn't sound to bad, I'll check it out. Thanks
